RN2RN is a network of hundreds of nurses from across the Illinois who are committed to working for legislation that will improve patient care and nurse staffing in every hospital in the state.

Research, common sense and our own experiences as nurses make it very clear that the single most important factor in improving patient outcomes is improving nurse staffing.  That’s why the RN2RN Network is working to pass state legislation that would increase the number of nurses at the bedside by setting nurse-to-patient ratios for each hospital unit. 

The RN2RN Network was launched by nurses from Resurrection Health Care hospitals to reach out to nurses around Illinois and mobilize support for legislation that would improve nurse staffing and patient outcomes.  Working through HEART/AFSCME, Resurrection nurses began their campaign for better staffing several years ago with legislation modeled on the nurse to patient ratios in California.
